Who it's for

Parents of babies 6 to 12 months old who wake often at night, and who are tired of conflicting advice.

If you've read one answer, then the opposite answer, and you just want one plan you can follow the same way every night, this is for you.

You're not asking for a perfect sleeper. You want your nights back, and to stop being the only way your baby gets back to sleep.

It is not for babies under 6 months. If your baby is younger, start with my free 3-night sleep tracker. It's free, for babies 4 months and up.

What's inside

There Has to Be a Better Way is a sleep training guide for babies 6 to 12 months. It follows three steps: get ready, choose and follow your plan, then track and look again.

Why I wrote it

I'm Kylie, and I'm a single mom. My own daughter wasn't sleep trained, and nights were really hard.

I bought several plans, hoping one would fix it.

Later, I trained as a sleep consultant, and I could finally see what I'd been missing.

I wrote the guide I wish I'd had.

What this guide doesn't do

Promise how your baby will sleep

It doesn't promise your baby will sleep through the night, or wake less. It gives you a plan built for the nights you want back, and a way to tell if it's helping.

Replace your baby's doctor

It isn't medical advice. For anything medical, it points you to your baby's doctor, and it tells you which signs mean the emergency department or 911.

Pretend it has every answer

Its advice has limits. Where the research left gaps, the steps I've added are marked. Every medical statement names its source, and the companion PDF links to each one.
